William J. Bennett, formerly U.S. Secretary of Education, chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities and director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy. He has written and edited a number of books, including the national bestsellers: The Educated Child: A Parent's Guide from Preschool through Eighth Grade, and The Book of Virtues. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Williams College, a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Texas, and a J.D. from Harvard University.

He cofounded and is currently in the Board of Directors of K12.
